After Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, she is the most searched celebrity on the Internet. Though she’s a household name, her name is taken in whispers. Her films and item numbers sound an alarm bell for the Censor Board and celebration for the viewers. If Jism 2 was not enough, Sunny Leone set the mercury rising with Ragini MMS 2. Such is her popularity that our mails and social networking sites were flooded with questions when the word got out that she was being interviewed. So Filmfare decided to get your questions answered. You ask, she answers…
Given your bold past do filmmakers seek your consent for bold scenes ?
Siddiqui, Mumbai
Yes, I do read the script. If the script demands bold scenes, then I do them. Jism 2 and Ragini MMS 2 required intimate sequences. No director has asked me to romance my co-star on the spot.
Aren’t you wary of being objectified?
Parul Sachdev, Hyderabad
Even actors are objectified. We are products. But what we do as actors is not something real, it’s fictional. The whole notion of being objectified is blown out of proportion.
Initially, you found it difficult to procure a house in Mumbai because people had a problem with your past. Is that true?
Sahil Bhatia, Bengaluru
That’s a complete lie. No one had an issue with me. The real story is that my father-in-law had to undergo a bypass surgery. So my husband Daniel (Weber) and I immediately flew to California. We put our house hunt on pause because family comes first. This made people presume that there was an issue with my profession, which was false.
Do you think doing Jackpot was a mistake?
Reena Singh, Kolkata
Jackpot was a mistake. The film bombed. The script was brilliant when I read it. But as actors we can’t take charge of everything.
I can’t pinpoint mistakes.
If you had a daughter and she wants to be an adult film actor as well?
Deepak Saigal, Delhi
I’d be completely lying if I said I wouldn’t be shocked. I’d like her to be educated first. But who am I to stop her? I can’t be a hypocrite. I won’t be happy though. Daniel might even get a heart attack.
Would you endorse a fairness product?
Samir Mendpara, Gujarat
I don’t believe in a fairness products because in California people want to get darker and darker. They spend so much time getting tanned. It’s surprising to see people using fairness creams in India.
A lot was spoken about your lesbian scene in Ragini MMS 2, but it was a mere kiss?
Vinod Jain, Agra
The kiss was blown out of proportion. To sum it up in one line, the lesbian kiss wasn’t something crazy for me.
Is it difficult to resist temptation in the glam world?
Swati Chopra, Punjab
I believe in monogamy. And my husband is the hottest man I know. I have a crush on him and I get to wake up next to him every morning. I’ll never find someone as attractive as Daniel.
Farah Khan said that she would have a gay encounter with you at gun-point on Koffee With Karan. Your take?
Delzeen Irani, Mumbai
I take it as a compliment. It’s great that I’m on top of her list when she thinks of a gay encounter. Usually, I feel shy when girls hit on me, though it doesn’t sound normal coming from me!
